About Seandra

Seandra R. Pope is a strategy consultant and trusted advisor. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rooted Group, a boutique consulting firm that provides strategic planning and executive coaching services in the areas of racial equity and diversity, issue advocacy, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement.

As a veteran public policy advocate, Seandra has expertise in developing and implementing effective strategies that are anchored in systemic analysis and that solve complex problems for a diverse array of clients across different issue sectors. 

Seandra has dedicated her career to facilitating opportunities that forge and deepen partnerships between policy advocates and their stakeholders in order to ensure diverse voice and perspective in the energy and climate movement. 

Seandra is widely recognized as a respected expert in her field. She has provided public testimony at Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and State Environmental Protection Division hearings, Utility Service Commissions state legislatures and various other regulatory proceedings. 

Seandra has pioneered new programs and initiatives and catalyzed action-based networks to advance energy and climate policies, including, The Inaugural Atlanta Black Nurses Association Climate and Health Symposium, The Partnership for Southern Equity’s Just Energy Circle, The Georgia Environmental Justice Alliance and The Advancing Equity and Opportunity Collaborative, a southern regional formation of organizations throughout Appalachia, the Black Belt and the Gulf who are committed to advancing equity in the energy, climate and environmental movement. 

Seandra is a frequent commentator on the subjects of racial equity and diversity, energy, environmental, and climate policy and has been published in numerous articles, blogs, and interviews including Huffington Post, Grist, and Public Radio. Seandra is a board member of The Sapelo Foundation, The Healthy Affordable Materials Project, and the Atlanta Dogwood Festival.
